Ministry Update

It has been a very busy summer, much has been happening in the ministry of FCA in the Upper Lowcountry. 1st, there has been camp activity. We had one young man, Nick Salley, a football player from Colleton Cty. HS attend Leadership Camp at St. Simons, GA. At this writing we have 3 volleyball teams from area attending FCA Volleyball Camp up in Columbia. Ashley Ridge HS is in their 4th year, Cathedral Academy is in their 3rd, and Summerville HS is attending for the 2nd straight year. 2 of our area coaches and their families attended FCA Coaches Camp at Black Mountain, NC in June. I was part of the staff that worked several football camps, one at Gardner Webb Univ. and 2 held at USC-Upstate. At Gardner Webb 22 young men were saved and 132 re-committed their life to Christ. At the 2 USC-Upstate camps about 1250 were in attendance. Of these, 202 were saved and 770 re-committed their lives to Christ. It was an incredible experience. Please be in prayer as the work of trying to ensure discipleship for each of these is ongoing.

We are excited to announce that Jonathan Franklin is joining the Upper Lowcountry FCA as a part-time employee. Jonathan will focus his FCA attention on the Goose Creek HS/ Stratford HS area as he works part-time as Youth Pastor at St. Andrews Church with Pastor Anthony Kowbeidu. Jonathan is a recent CSU grad. We are thankful for the partnership we have established with Pastor Kowbeidu and St. Andrews Church.
As we approach another school year, we are excited about the doors that our Lord is opening for FCA. We have the potential to begin several new Coaches Bible Studies and add numbers to our existing ones. Also, we are seeing more Coaches involvement taking place in FCA in several of our schools.

Please put October 15 down as a date to save. That is when we will have our Annual Upper Lowcountry FCA Golf Tournament at Crowfield CC. Our brochure will be forthcoming.

We always appreciate your prayers for the ministry of FCA. Yours in Christ, Randy
